CHEAPSKATE TIP #3: TOILET PAPER
This is probably my most cheapskate tip ever! I totally recommend it to everyone. But first! This tip is adapted from TLC's Extreme Cheapskates (it's one of my fave shows, can you guess why? *wink wink*). So credit goes there.
When your toilet paper is done and all that's left is that sad cardboard roll, DO NOT THROW IT AWAY. It will still be of some use. How? Get a new toilet paper roll. And now here is where you'll have to put in some time.
If you buy the two or three ply toilet paper, this tip is for you! Separate the two "sheets" or layers of the entire roll.

If you buy the two or three ply toilet paper, this tip is for you! Separate the two "sheets" or layers of the entire roll.
Then, take one of the layers
and roll it back onto the roll. Use the other empty roll that you've saved and
roll the second layer of toilet paper on there. So now you have two rolls of
toilet paper! Continue this for every toilet paper. And don't forget to recycle
those empty cardboard rolls! Or make something out of it like this amazing
toilet paper roll art I found online:
So there you have it. You can
decide to be all "Ain't nobody got time fer dat!" or you can allocate
a few minutes of your time to save yourself some of that hard-earned precious
money. Be smart! Toilet paper costs about 7 bucks and it increases all the
time.
Till
the next post!
