THE HYPOCRITICAL HATE ON MILEY CYRUS

I'm just tired of hearing all the hate on Miley Cyrus. People have been hating on her for a while now but it got even worse after her performance at the VMAs.

First of all, I don't watch the VMAs, Oscars or whatever (because there are better things that I'd rather watch....like Criminal Minds or Game of Thrones!) unless I happen to be channel surfing and I come upon it. Then I'm gone when the commercial break comes on.
So that's how I came to see Miley's performance. I will admit it; I found myself involuntarily covering my mouth in shock. My eyes were practically about to pop out of their sockets. I was very surprised because I didn't expect her to be acting like that mainly because she was a child star (sorry Miley but that's going to follow you forever) And I do think the whole sticking out the tongue and twerking on Robin Thicke was too much and unnecessary. And the nudity in her new music video is inappropriate in my opinion.

 BUT!!

 None of those things make her a "whore" or a "slut" like many are calling her. She's just doing what the majority of singers end up doing somewhere in their career. There are countless female artists that go nude or act very provocative for their music videos.
But no one really says anything about that. And if they do, the "hate" is not as much as Miley is getting. But when she acts inappropriately on stage, suddenly the world has ended! And you'll find many hateful comments on her music video. Why is the nudity and inappropriate behaviour acceptable for certain artists but it's immoral for others? I'm completely baffled by this hypocrisy. "Immoral" behaviour is immoral regardless of who is doing it.

And what about male artists who use nude or inappropriately dressed women in their videos? Few people were angry about Robin Thicke's video for Blurred Lines which has nude women in it (everything is shown whereas Miley hid her private parts in her video). How come? Or what about male artists who use women dancing provacatively? Like the women you see in many music videos in rap. Barely anyone criticizes the artists for promoting "immoral" behaviour.

My main point is that if you're going to hate on an artist for immoral behaviour, don't be a hypocrite about it. Criticize all who do it.

The other day I had an epiphany.  I was downtown with my friend and we walked past this Asian bakery that had a really long line of customers waiting to get in. WEDDING NIGHT FEARS? MY MESSAGE TO MUSLIM WOMEN

Hi everyone! I haven't written anything in a while...school has been keeping me busy! It's my last year of undergraduate studies. WANT TO MARRY AN AJNABI MAN? MY ADVICE!

I must say that there's a bit of an ajanabi (non-Somali) craze going on these days especially among the girls. It's quite prevalent among many masaajid girls. Once a white man converts to Islam and becomes a regular in the masaajid (mosque) they're all over him! This bothers me. In addition, there a lot of stories going around about Somali girls who have been divorced by their ajanabi husbands; the parents like to say this happened because the husband wasn't Somali.  Now, before y'all start the accusations, let me inform you that I am not an ajanabi hater. Neither am I a person who strictly stays with their "own kind"; race and/or culture is of no concern to me.
